Santora to Host Autism Roundtables on March 14 and 15
HARRISBURG – Rep. James R. Santora (R-Delaware) is partnering with Child Guidance Resource Centers to host autism roundtables to share information about preparing information for adult transition on Wednesday, March 14, from 7-8 p.m. at the Pilgrim Gardens Senior Center, 1074 Pontiac Road, Drexel Hill, and on Thursday, March 15, from 7-8 p.m. at his district office, 6 South Springfield Road, Clifton Heights.

“Being a parent is never easy, but the challenges that parents who have children with autism face are likely not what they expected. Often, they are forced to become their own advocates, working without end to learn about what is available for their children,” Santora said. “I am hosting these roundtables to help these dedicated parents by sharing critical information.”

The same program for autism and special needs families will be offered at both locations, so residents are encouraged to attend the roundtable at the time and location that is convenient for them. In addition to covering what parents should do now for their child’s transition to adult care, attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions.
