Rep. Jamie Santora is a Drexel Hill native who has dedicated his life to preserving and sustaining his Delaware County community. In November 2014, he was elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
James “Jamie” Santora has lived in Drexel Hill for more than 38 years. As he learned early on, education is the most important thing in life, both in the classroom and at home. His parents taught him that if you work hard and believe in yourself, you can achieve anything. He plans to use that insight when studying and crafting legislation.
For the 2017-18 legislative session, Jamie will serve on the Appropriations, Gaming Oversight, Professional Licensure and Urban Affairs committees.
Jamie is a graduate of St. Dorothy School, Cardinal O’Hara High School, and Cabrini College. He is also a licensed real estate broker. After a 15-year career with O’Neill Properties Group in King of Prussia, he became a partner in a local real estate firm, Moore & Ryan Real Estate.
In 2011, Jamie was elected a councilman at large in Upper Darby Township. He also served as former president of the board of the Pilgrim Gardens Aronimink Civic Association.
Jamie is member of St. Dorothy’s Parish Council. He is very active in his local civic and business associations. He is also a past president and current member of The Greater Philadelphia Chapter of UNICO, an Italian American charitable organization of business leaders, who give back to their community.
In 2012, he was instrumental creating the Faith in the Future Foundation that oversees the Philadelphia Archdiocese High School system.
Jamie and his wife, Amy, are the proud parents of three children: Ryan, Tyler, and Kyra.
